Ramón Pineda has been hired to take over as VP and General Manager of E.W. Scripps’ NBC affiliate (KRIS), CW station and independent station (KDF) in Corpus Christi, Texas.
The move marks his departure from working at Spanish-language media companies.
He starts the new position next Monday, June 29.
Pineda arrives to Scripps after a 17-year career in management at Univision. He was most President and Regional Director for Univision Communications, where he led news and sales teams in Puerto Rico, Atlanta, Philadelphia and Raleigh, based in New York, exiting the company in December 2019.
He previously held senior leadership roles at Univision’s New York and Arizona stations.
Pineda was also VP and GM at Telemundo’s WNJU-47 in New York from 2000 to 2002.
