Scripps taps former Univision exec Ramón Pineda to lead Corpus Christi stations

June 25, 2020 by Veronica Villafañe

Ramón Pineda has been hired to take over as VP and General Manager of E.W. Scripps’ NBC affiliate (KRIS), CW station and independent station (KDF) in Corpus Christi, Texas.

The move marks his departure from working at Spanish-language media companies.

He starts the new position next Monday, June 29.

Pineda arrives to Scripps after a 17-year career in management at Univision. He was most President and Regional Director for Univision Communications, where he led news and sales teams in Puerto Rico, Atlanta, Philadelphia and Raleigh, based in New York, exiting the company in December 2019.

He previously held senior leadership roles at Univision’s New York and Arizona stations.

Pineda was also VP and GM at Telemundo’s WNJU-47 in New York from 2000 to 2002.

So you don’t like the guy ‘coz he is a Republican you mean?
(Then you rather have Billy T. that likes to shout his Democrat feelings in the corridor ?)
Since when we choose our bosses based of their ideological deets?
Did you take Pineda to HR ? How many more like you were affected ? What action was taken ? Is that why he got demoted to PR ?
If all that are proven facts, so it must the water in Teaneck !
Coz, damn, worse than vixen Morato ? hard to find.
And if we were to talk about the rampant sexism by “Powder” Creste, I mean, no way out it seems.

Why Trumpista? It doesn’t surprise me the dancing chair game that prevails in the media world, especially the Spanish media, where the same people are just moved around the management jobs over and over again. And regarding your claims of harassing women I don’t know. I’ve always heard nice things about him, but who knows or maybe you know. But trumpista? Really? In what sense? It certainly doesn’t show on his stations and news programs. So even if true, it has not made a different. It would greatly surprise me -and many others- if he’s one of the 0.002% in the Latino Media that is Not a BIAISED LEFTIST ACTIVIST!

        Victim,
Did you take him to HR?
        Was there any outcome?
You don’t like him coz you say he is a Trump voter or since he attacked you and others?
        Those are tough allegations.
