MegaTV hires Covo for political coverage

July 14, 2020 by Veronica Villafañe

Journalist Sabina Covo joins SBS’ Miami station MegaTV for a new political segment.

She’ll be anchoring “Enlace Politico 2020,” which will air on the station’s weeknight news program “Mega News,” at 5 and 11 pm ET.

This marks her return to MegaTV, where she worked as a news contributor from 2011 to 2012.

Covo previously covered elections for America TeVe. She was also an anchor for the now defunct Mundo Fox’s Miami affiliate (WGENTV).

Most recently, she served as news presenter for GLR Radio Network’s affiliated stations in the U.S. and has collaborated as a political analyst for CNN in Spanish.

Covo has also been a reporter for Telemundo 51, where she started her career as a sales assistant and live remote on-air talent in 2000.

She has written a Sunday politics column for El Nuevo Herald since 2008.
