Telemundo’s digital expansion efforts have reached a significant milestone.
It surpassed 10 million subscribers on July 1 and quickly added half a million more the next day. That means it is now the top U.S. television broadcaster on the platform, regardless of language, according to YouTube June 2020 data.
Telemundo has been building its YouTube presence and audience, since it launched its main channel in 2011. It took four years for that channel to reach its first million. It zoomed past 10 million in the last 5 years.
Telemundo has nine other YouTube channels that have a combined 35 million subscribers.
