Ed O’Keefe, who has been on the campaign trail over the past year, has been promoted to CBS News senior White House and political correspondent.

In addition to covering the Biden White House, he’ll continue to cover campaign politics. He’ll also be tasked with reporting on the evolution of the Democratic and Republican parties.

O’Keefe joined CBS News’ as political correspondent in 2018, after spending a year as a network news contributor.
