Ex-Telemundo 52 reporter Martín Plascencia lands communications job

February 8, 2021 by Veronica Villafañe

Following a four-decade career in journalism, Martín Plascencia moves into a communications job.

He has been hired as a spokesperson for the Orange County Communications office.

He’ll be leading Spanish-language outreach, specifically responding to COVID-19 issues and campaigns.

Plascencia was laid off from KVEA Telemundo 52 in Los Angeles in August 2020 as part of nationwide company cuts.

He had been a reporter at the station for over 20 years and had overseen the Orange County News Bureau for over a decade.

Plascencia was previously a reporter at KMEX 34.
