February 16, 2021 by Veronica Villafañe

Five executives from the entertainment, podcasting, and advertising industries have teamed up to create new podcasting company Pitaya Entertainment, specifically targeting U.S. Latinos.

Among them: Zach Horowitz, a former president and COO of Universal Music Group and Guillermo Santiso, the former president of Fonovisa Records. Jordi Oliveres, who previously worked for Univision Communications, podcasting guru Andy Bowers, co-founder of Megaphone, and marketing, advertising, and branded entertainment expert Diana Mejia-Jones are also aboard the new venture.

Pitaya officially launched today with six mostly Spanish-language featuring a mix of Univision  personalities, comedians, and YouTube influencers.
