Rosemary Mercedes resigns as Univision’s EVP & Chief Communications Officer

Rosemary Mercedes

After a 15-year run with Univision, Rosemary Mercedes has resigned as EVP and Chief Communications Officer.

She is stepping down from her current role to spend more time with her family and focus on her young daughters.

She’ll be transitioning out of the company, leaving on March 19.

Mercedes joined Univision in 2006 and promoted multiple times until reaching her current position in 2017.

In an internal memo sent to staff, Univision’s new President, Pierluigi Gazzolo, wrote:

“In the short amount of time I’ve worked with Rosemary, I’ve come to admire her knowledge, strong work ethic, passion and everything she’s done for Univision. I know I speak for the entire company when I say she will truly be missed not only for her guidance through our period of transition and transformation, but also for her unwavering loyalty and care for her colleagues and the organization. We wish her all the best in her future endeavors.”

According to Univision, Mercedes successfully communicated multiple large company transformations, including the majority stake acquisition by Searchlight Capital Partners, LP, ForgeLight LLC and Grupo Televisa S.A.B and Univision’s recent leadership transition.
