Univision’s TUDN strikes multi-year radio partnership deal with MLB

October 5, 2021 by Veronica Villafañe

Univision’s TUDN has signed a multi-year agreement that makes TUDN Radio the official Spanish-language radio partner of Major League Baseball in the U.S. and Puerto Rico.

As part of the deal, TUDN Radio will have access to select games throughout the MLB Postseason and all the action from each World Series contest and will produce “Desde el Diamante,” a daily, 60-minute radio program dedicated to the latest MLB news.

In 2022, TUDN Radio will also be home to select regular season games, as well as Major League Baseball’s annual Home Run Derby and All-Star Game.

Coverage begins during the Wild Card round, as the New York Yankees meet the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park today, October 5, at 8:08 p.m. ET and the St. Louis Cardinals travel to Los Angeles to face the Dodgers on Tuesday, October 6, at 8:10 p.m. ET.

Jose L. Nápoles, Jesús Acosta, Alberto “El Beto” Ferreiro, and Luis Quiñones will serve as TUDN Radio’s broadcast team.

The deal joins Univision’s portfolio of existing baseball rights in major local markets, where the company already has exclusive Spanish-language radio broadcast rights for the Arizona Diamondbacks (KHOV 105.1 FM), Chicago Cubs and Chicago White Sox (WRTO 1200 AM), Houston Astros (TUDN 93.3 FM), Los Angeles Dodgers (KTNQ 1020 AM), Miami Marlins (Radio Mambi WAQI 710 AM), New York Mets (WADO 1280 AM & Que Buena 92.7 FM), and Texas Rangers (KFLC 1270 AM).
