Telemundo 48 hires Maximiliano Cordaro as sports anchor

May 12, 2022 by Veronica Villafañe

Telemundo 48 Area de la Bahia has hired Maximiliano Cordaro as sports anchor.

Cordaro will team up with sports anchor Carlos Yustis to cover sports for the station.

He’s scheduled to make his on-air debut next week.

Cordaro was previously a producer and soccer analyst for CNN Deportes in Miami. During that time, he was also an in-ring announcer for the World Boxing Association.

Before that, he worked in Italy as a correspondent for CNN En Español and Univisión Deportes.

Cordaro began his career in his native Venezuela, where he worked for TeleVen, SportPlus, Meridiano Televisión and Unión Radio. As a journalist in Venezuela, he covered the World Cup, Copa América, Eurocopa, Champions League, South American Qualifiers and Copa Libertadores.
