Fernando Pérez joins iHeartMedia Philly station as program director

iHeartMedia has hired Fernando A. Pérez to be program director for its Philadelphia FM radio station Rumba 106.1.

In his new role, he is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the station’s music, programming, imaging and branding.

A radio veteran, he was most recently an audio content strategy consultant.

As a former Los Angeles-based VP of content for Univision, Pérez led programming operations for 20 stations, including KLOVE.

His past experience includes positions as program director for CBS Radio in Houston and operations and programming manager at Spanish Broadcasting System’s L.A. area stations.
