Telemundo Houston adds Félix Hernández to weather team

Meteorologist Félix Hernández has joined Telemundo Houston’s “La Autoridad En El Tiempo” weather team.

His first day on-air was Saturday, October 8.

Hernández arrives from KAJA-TV Telemundo Corpus Christi, where he spent two years as meteorologist at the Scripps-owned station.

He was previously a meteorologist at Univision’s weather center in Houston, where he covered stations in Miami, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, San Jose and Fresno from January 2018 to May 2020.

A member of the American Meteorological Society, he also covered weather at Telemundo Oklahoma from 2017 to 2018 and Telemundo Fort Myers from 2015 to 2017.

He began his career in 2012 at Cuba’s Institute of Meteorology, where he specialized in the coverage of severe weather and cyclonic seasons.
