CNN moves Priscilla Alvarez to White House team

December 5, 2022 by Veronica Villafañe

CNN is moving Priscilla Alvarez to the network’s White House team as a reporter.

She will also continue to cover immigration.

Alvarez joined the cable news network’s politics team in January 2019, assigned to cover immigration politics and policy. Since her arrival to CNN, she has traveled across the country, reporting on the 2021 surge of unaccompanied migrant children, Haitian migrants converging at the border, and immigration policy changes.

Before CNN, she worked as a politics editor and writer at The Atlantic, where she covered the 2016 presidential election and U.S. immigration policy.

A bilingual reporter, she currently sits on the board of the NAHJ’s DC chapter.
