Adolfo Segura

Adolfo Segura named VP of News at Telemundo San Diego

August 14, 2023 by Veronica Villafañe

Adolfo Segura will be Telemundo San Diego’s next VP of News,  joining the station starting August 28.

He replaces Mike Gaytan, who left the station in May to take over as VP of News at Telemundo 52.

Segura is leaving his current role as VP of News for KCSO Telemundo 33 Sacramento and KNSO Telemundo 51 Fresno, where he has worked for four years.

In his new role at Telemundo San Diego, Segura will report directly to Melissa Crawford, President and GM of NBC 7 and Telemundo 20.

Prior to leading Telemundo’s KCSO and KNSO’s news departments, Segura was VP of News at KVDA Telemundo 60 in San Antonio, where he oversaw the launch of the station’s first border news bureau.

Segura previously worked as an executive producer for Univision and the now-defunct Telemundo Production Center.
