Jorge Andrés joins WBTV as weekday show co-host

August 28, 2023 by Veronica Villafañe

Jorge Andrés has joined WBTV, where he’s tackling a new role.

He’s now on board the Charlotte CBS affiliate as weekday co-host of the 3 pm lifestyle show “QC Life.”

During his two-decade career, he’s worked as a sports anchor, analyst and reporter in English and Spanish in radio and television.

A native of Lima, Peru, who grew up in the Washington, DC area, Andrés started in the broadcast business as an assistant producer for ESPN Radio, moving up to correspondent and sports anchor.

He later worked at WZDC Telemundo in DC, before moving to ESPN Bristol for an anchor job that had him on-air at SportsCenter and ESPN Deportes.

Andrés also held sports anchor jobs at CBS, NBC Sports Boston, and Miami’s duopoly Telemundo 51 and NBC6, prior to his move to Charlotte.
