Luis Fernández is making a comeback to Telemundo. Today, he was named Chairman of NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises.
He replaces Beau Ferrari, who has led Telemundo network in that capacity for the past three years.
Ferrari will transition to senior advisor to César Conde, Chairman of the NBCUniversal News Group, “for strategic growth opportunities.”
Fernández, who will report to Conde, returns to Telemundo two years after his retirement, then putting and end to almost five decades in the media industry.
At the time of his 2021 departure from the company, he was president of Telemundo’s news division.
He previously held a variety of leadership roles in news and entertainment, including president of Univision Entertainment and Univision Studios, and Chief Executive Officer of Radio Television Española (RTVE).
