February 20, 2024 by Veronica Villafañe

Telemundo Atlanta has launched the first Spanish-language weekday noon newscast in Georgia.

Anchored by Alexandra Martínez, “Noticias Telemundo Georgia Mediodía” made its debut Monday, February 19.

The newscast will feature local statewide news, national and international stories relevant to the Hispanic audience in the Atlanta, Savannah, Macon, Columbus, Augusta, Albany, and Tallahassee-Thomasville DMAs.

Martínez, who has worked at the station since March 2022, is also a producer for the newscast.

Adhemar Montagne, who joined the station earlier this month, also made his debut as lead news anchor of the 6 and 11 pm weekday “Noticias Telemundo Georgia” newscast.
