Candy Durán promoted to news director for Telemundo Sacramento and Fresno stations

Candy Durán has been promoted to news director for two Telemundo-owned stations in northern and central California.

She’ll oversee all news content operations and cross-platform news producers, reporters and anchors for KCSO Telemundo 33 Sacramento and KNSO Telemundo 51 Fresno.

Durán will be moving to Sacramento for the new role she starts April 8.

Durán moves up from executive producer for KFTV’s Noticias Univision Fresno, a position she’s held since October 2023.

Before that, she spent almost 11 years at KDTV Univision 14, working as an assignment editor, writer and producer.

She also worked as as news reporter at Univision 18 in Midland, Texas.
