James Galindo appointed station manager at KERO

May 13, 2024 by Veronica Villafañe

James Galindo has made an upward move to a competing Bakersfield station.

E.W. Scripps has hired him to lead KERO as station manager.

He started the new job May 1.

He’ll be overseeing the ABC affiliate’s day-to-day operations, also serving as director of sales.

Galindo crossed over from his longtime career home at NBC affiliate KGET, where he worked for almost 21 years, making his way up the sales ladder.

Galindo spent 14 years as a senior account executive at the Nexstar Media Group station prior to landing a promotion to general sales manager in 2017.
