Why Media Moves needs your financial support

Friends and colleagues,

I started Media Moves in 2007 to address the lack of coverage of Latino journalists and Hispanic media. I’ve worked hard to turn footnotes into headlines about Latino media professionals.

Since I started the site, I have written thousands of stories, highlighting accomplishments, raising the visibility of our colleagues and reporting about changes in the Hispanic media industry.

Over the past 11 years, Media Moves has grown to become a popular and trusted source of news.

A lot of work goes into producing the content and maintaining the site. As more Latinos join the media ranks and media companies downsize and expand, there are a lot more stories to report.

Since its inception, the site has been a one person operation. To keep up with the growing amount of news about Hispanics in the media industry, I need to hire freelance help to produce content, expand coverage, introduce new features and continue to work on improving the user experience.

In order to accomplish these goals, I’m turning to you, the site’s loyal readers, to contribute to an on-going crowdfunding campaign.

Thanks to an initial modest round of support, Media Moves has undergone a redesign of the site and several long overdue technical upgrades. But a lot more still needs to be done.

Your financial support, no matter the amount, will help Media Moves continue its mission.

Please take a moment to click on the support button below to make a contribution. The Pay Pal message reads “Donate to Alter Ego Communications,” which is the parent company of Media Moves.
