Zalaznick to oversee Telemundo after merger

November 11, 2010 by Veronica Villafañe

Lauren Zalaznick, President of NBC Universal Women & Lifestyles will additionally be in charge of overseeing Telemundo once the Comcast-NBC merger goes through. She is credited for “polishing” the reality TV genre and turning Bravo into the #1 entertainment cable network for “upscale, educated and engaged television viewers.”

TheWrap today revealed the details on the new company’s management structure. Steve Burke (Comcast’s COO) will be NBCU’s CEO and Steve Capus will continue his role as president of NBC News.

Telemundo, Telefutura and Univision has been playing the card of the "new inmigrants coming without anything to watch on TV' per decades, giving to these inmigrants all the bad TV that they can imagine. And they can continue with that only until the newcomers are able to understand some English to loose them to the many alternatives they have in the real TV.
I dont'see Telemundo as the Latin Bravo channel unles they bring real movies from Latin America and Spain and produce new shows in Spanish that are worth to see.
