Full Channel TV has stopped including WUNI Univision 27 in its channel line up as of Feb. 18.
The Providence Business News reports that the Rhode Island broadband provider decided to stop transmitting Univision’s programming after Entravision increased its retransmission fees by 33%.
The company said they didn’t want to pass on the higher rates to its customers, so it opted for pulling the plug while it continues to negotiate with Entravision.
For the time being, Spanish-speaking viewers in the Barrington, Bristol, and Warren area will be missing out on their novelas.

Please see my letter to the editor in response to the Providence Business News article. I think it will give you a better perspective of how current FCC rules disadvantage consumers during these retransmission consent negotiations.
