Quintanilla gets extra anchor duties

October 11, 2011 by Veronica Villafañe

Starting next Monday, Carl Quintanilla will be anchoring an extra hour of “Squawk on the Street.”

According to TVNewser, CNBC has axed its 11am show “The Call” (formerly known as “Morning Call”) and will replace it with an extra hour of “Squawk on the Street,” stretching the show to 3 hours from 9 to noon ET.  That new hour will be anchored by Carl from the NYSE.

Carl was named co-anchor of “Squawk on the Street” in July.  He was previously co-anchoring “Squawk Box,” Mon-Fri from 6-9 am ET.
