Berlanga signs off without saying good-bye

January 16, 2012 by Veronica Villafañe

Martin Berlanga

Sunday night was Martín Berlanga’s last time anchoring weekends.  He did a smooth job, but did not alert his viewers it would be his last time anchoring “Noticiero Univision fin de semana.”

It was a different story on his Twitter account, where he told his followers that starting next weekend, the newscast would be taken over by Lourdes Ramos and Félix de Bedout, and added it had been “a pleasure” to anchor the news.

His tweet generated several responses, mostly regret for his departure and hope that he would remain on Univision.

Martín today tweeted he will be subbing for Jorge Ramos and María Elena Salinas on tonight’s newscast.
