Premio Lo Nuestro reaches almost 11 million viewers

The 24th annual “Premio Lo Nuestro” 2012 Latin Music Awards made Univision the No. 2 broadcast network for the entire night among adults 18-34. An estimated 10.8 million viewers tuned in to all or part of the live three-hour broadcast.

Univision also ranked as the No. 3 broadcast network, beating ABC, NBC and the CW, among Adults 18-49 for the entire night, according to Nielsen data provided by the Spanish-language network.

Prince Royce picked up four awards.

The awards show, hosted by novela actors Jacqueline Bracamontes and Eduardo Santamarina, included 21 performances highlighted the best in Latin music.

Shakira (who didn’t make it to the show) and Prince Royce were the night’s biggest winners with four awards each.

“Premio Lo Nuestro” opened with Daddy Yankee performing his hit song “Lovumba.”

Among the show’s highlights: Laura Pausini sang her new single “Jamás Abandoné,”  Tito el Bambino, “Me Voy De La Casa” and Pitbull and Chris Brown performed “International Love.”
