América TeVé switches channels after affiliating with MundoFox

March 14, 2012 by Veronica Villafañe

Last week MundoFox revealed its first affiliate agreements, which included América TeVé’s channel 41. Now the Miami station has announced it’s continuing its own programming, but on another channel.

Starting September of 2012, channel 41 will air MundoFox programming and América TeVé’s shows will move to channel 48.

In a statement, station owner Omar Romay says “it’s important to establish that our absolute commitment to promote locally produced relevant content for South Florida’s Hispanic community has not changed….The affiliation with MundoFox means we’ll now be able to produce for América TeVé channel 48 even more or the popular local programming our audience is asking for.”
