KMEX videographers win multiple PPA awards

The Press Photographers Association (PPA) of Greater Los Angeles gave top honors to several KMEX-34 videographers. Héctor González won Photographer of the Year, while the Univision O&O picked up the “Station of the Year” award.

Here are the winners and the categories:

Live Coverage – 1st Place: Juan Hernández – “MacArthur Park Shooting Riot”

Video Feature – 1st Place: Arturo Quezada – “Alebrijes” (Mexican Folk Art)

Video Sports – 1st Place: Héctor González – “NBA All-Star Economy”

In Depth – 1st Place: Arturo Quezada – “Immigrant Hotel”

General News – 1st Place: Héctor González – “Bicycle Robberies”

Additionally, Andrés Bonilla picked up a second place win in the video feature category.  Héctor González also got second place recognition in the spot and general news categories.

    Art Quezada is one of the hardest working and most talented photographers in the business. And a very nice guy too. Very well deserved award. Congratulations.
