GENTV, the Miami-based independent channel that is part of Colombia’s Caracol Television Group, has revamped its programming, added new talent and created a new brand image and tagline – “La Diferencia Se Ve” – as part of a relaunch of the station.

The new programming slate, which began this Monday, October 1, includes locally produced newscasts, entertainment shows and other programs developed for South Florida’s audience.

María Elvira Salazar returns to TV after a one-year absence, when she left MegaTV. She leads GENTV’s new lineup with “María Elvira,” airing Monday – Friday from 8 to 9 pm ET. María Elvira hosts an informative one-hour program that will cover the latest headlines impacting politics and society on a local and global scale.

From left to right: Liliana Marín, Ronald Acha, Veronica Paysse, Claudia Campo, Ricardo Brown, Daniela Diego, Andrea Linares and Alfredo Finale.

Ricardo Brown and Andrea Linares will anchor Noticias GENTV weekday evenings from 6 to 6:30 pm and from 9 to 10 pm. Also on the news and reporting team: Liliana Marín, Ronald Acha, Veronica Paysse, Claudia Campo, Daniela Diego and Alfredo Finale.

Other programming includes the premiere of “Mis Doctores,” a daily health show hosted by Dr. Luis Moch and “Show Business Extra,” with hosts Gaby Acuña and Omar Nassar.  On weekends, the station will also air family-oriented programming and “CineMÁS,” an entertainment block of Hollywood movies and Latin American films.
