Maciel named editor of Hoy

Alejandro Maciel has been named Editor of Hoy newspaper in Los Angeles.  He takes over the job that has been vacant since Reynaldo Mena took the top job at La Opinión.  He starts the new job on April 29.

Alejandro is currently front page editor at La Opinión.  His last day on the job is April 17.

Prior to joining La Opinión in March of 2012, he was Publisher/Editor of La Voz de San Diego and Executive Editor of Impacto USA.

Update 4/15/13: Alejandro’s departure from La Opinión was moved up. His last day was Tuesday, April 9.
