Univision hires Ehrman, promotes Ball

Univision Communications announced it has hired Rick Ehrman, as Executive Vice President of Corporate Business Development and promoted Jennifer Ball to Executive Vice President of Content Distribution Marketing and Partnerships. Both executives will be based in New York and report to Tonia O’Connor, President, Content Distribution and Corporate Business Development.

In his newly created role, Ehrman will oversee and manage all aspects of strategy, finance and operations for Univision’s Corporate Business Development Group. He joins Univision most recently from research strategy consulting firm Frank N. Magid Associates, where he was Managing Director of Business Development.  He previously spent 12 years at General Electric, where he held various executive positions in Corporate Development at GE Corporate, GE Capital, NBC and ValueVision Media.

Ball, who has been with Univision since 2008, will continue to oversee Univision’s Distribution Partnership Marketing Group (DPMG), while adding audience development and content partnership responsibilities. In her new role Ball will expand the scope of her team to include support of UCI’s corporate business development. Prior to Univision, she was VP of Distribution Marketing for A&E Television Networks (AETN).
