Univision News to launch weekly health show

September 19, 2013 by Veronica Villafañe

Univision News is adding a health show to its programming lineup. “Cita con tu Salud,” an original 30-minute weekly health series, premieres this Sunday, September 22, with a focus on addressing the main health concerns of the Hispanic audience and information on how the Affordable Car Act will affect them.

The show will be hosted by Enrique Acevedo from “Noticiero Univision Edición Nocturna,” Pamela Silva Conde from “Primer Impacto” and Univision’s Chief Medical Correspondent, Dr. Juan Rivera.

The California Endowment, a private health foundation, is helping to support production of the first season of “Cita con tuSalud” as part of its “Asegúrate” campaign, which aims to increase awareness of the Affordable Care Act and enroll Latinos into health care.

    Thanks for the information Veronica.

They started showing the promo this week. After viewing the promo, it looks like it will be a copy of the now canceled “Salud es Vida” show.

I will wait until I see it before I pass judgement. However, a health show without Cecilia Ramirez Harris on Univision just seems wrong…
