Geraldo loses radio syndication, stays in NYC

They’re calling it a “retooling” and a “relaunch”… but starting January 1, 2014, Geraldo Rivera’s radio show will no longer be nationally syndicated. It will only be heard weekdays from 10 a.m. to noon EST on New York City’s 77 WABC and online.

The downsizing comes more than a year after Cumulus Media Network nationally syndicated his daily radio show. He had initially signed a deal to do a live local radio show with WABC radio in January of 2012 and weeks later, started hosting a separate live show for Los Angeles’s KABC.

During its syndicated run, Geraldo was heard in over 40 radio stations across the country.
