Univision revamps “Nuestra Belleza Latina” for season 8

January 16, 2014 by Veronica Villafañe

Univision is bringing in new hosts and giving a new look to its long-running popular reality beauty competition “Nuestra Belleza Latina.”  Season 8 debuts Sunday, February 16, 2014 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

Actress, model and Univision personality Chiquinquirá Delgado, actor and former “Mira Quien Baila” competitor Pedro Moreno, and first-ever “Nuestra Belleza Latina” winner and “Sábado Gigante” co-host Alejandra Espinoza are the three new hosts of the beauty competition’s upcoming season.

Giselle Blondet was the host of the show for the past 7 years.

Two former Miss Universes, Denise Quiñones and Alicia Machado, are also joining the show on season 8. They’ll be coming on board as mentors, offering expert advice to contestants.

The winner of the competition, which showcases Latinas from across the U.S. and Puerto Rico, gets an exclusive contract with Univision, $200,000 in cash and prizes, and a brand-new car.
