The 35th Annual News & Documentary Emmy Awards marked the first time specific categories for Spanish-language television were included in the gala event held in New York City on Tuesday, September 30.

Telemundo and Univision won awards, but so did CNN en Español, which picked up a prize for Outstanding Newscast or News Magazine in Spanish.

The honor went to “Panorama Mundial,” anchored by Patricia Janiot.

Sorry to say this, but if these Emmys are a competition among only Latinos, it is guaranteed that CNNE, Univision and Telemundo ALWAYS are going to win an Emmy. They should compare with the general market networks. Now that would be a real Emmy.
