“Sabadazo” takes over “Sábado Gigante” spot on Univision

October 16, 2015 by Veronica Villafañe

Univision-SabadazoUnivision’s pick to replace “Sábado Gigante” debuts this weekend. “Sabadazo,” a Televisa-produced variety show starts its Saturday night run on October 17, 2015 at 8 pm ET/PT.

Hosted by actors Omar Chaparro, Cecilia Galliano and Laura G, “Sabadazo” combines a talk show format with comedy, contests, musical performances and celebrity guest appearances.

This marks a return of the show to Univision, which until two months ago, aired “Sabadazo” Saturdays at 2pm ET/PT for 2 years. It previously aired 3 years on Telefutura, now UniMás.

“Sábado Gigante” signed off on September 19. The final show attracted 6.7 million viewers who tuned in to all or part of the three and half hour live broadcast.

But the show’s cancellation cost more than 100 people their jobs.

    More Televisa trash food.
Exactly what we need in here, it seems that Mr. Azcarraga Jr. is not satisfied yet with the idiotic poison he has sent down the throat to the audience in the South and for decades.
Now his duty also includes to feed us with boredom and mediocrity in the States.
Is Uni-visa in full throttle, pals.

Que triste que Univision bajó de categoria con ese programa sabadazo. Aqui en USA no necesitamos de esos programas payasos, mediocres que a Sabado Gigante no le llega ni a los talones. Prefiero cambiarme a telemundo a perder mi tiempo mirando programas estupidos.
