Morales steps down, Molina named MundoMax interim President

Ibra Morales (L) is replaced by José Molina as President of MundoMax.

MundoMax has a new President, effective immediately. The RCN-owned U.S. network announced today that Ibra Morales has left the top job to “pursue other interests” and is being replaced by José I. Molina as Interim President.

Molina, who joined MundoMax as its Chief Financial Officer in November of last year, will also keep that title.

According to the company, the executive move reflects “the continued transition underway as the network refocuses its personnel, resources and strategy to pursue the next stage of development and growth.”

Morales was named President of MundoFox in January of 2014, replacing Emiliano Saccone, and lead the network from its partnership with Fox into an independent media company fully owned by Colombia’s RCN Television Group.

In a statement, Morales said: “Laying the groundwork for the network’s promising future over the past two years has been an amazing and rewarding experience….I will forever be grateful for this unique opportunity.”

Prior to joining MundoMax, Molina spent 14 years as VP of Finance at SBS.
