Univision’s Falco and Lee meet with Trump

January 10, 2017 by Veronica Villafañe

Donald Trump met with Univision President and CEO Randy Falco.

After a contentious relationship between Univision and Donald Trump during the presidential campaign – one that included a multimillion dollar lawsuit – network execs met with the President-elect in what some see as an effort to “mend fences.”

President and CEO Randy Falco and Chief News, Entertainment and Digital Officer Isaac Lee met with Trump for about 30 minutes on Monday afternoon.

Shortly after the private meeting, the company released the following brief statement:

“We just had a productive meeting with President-elect Donald Trump about issues facing Hispanic and multicultural communities in America. We look forward to working with Mr. Trump and his administration to make our vibrant country even better. Our Univision News team will continue to cover the Trump administration with the rigor that we have brought to the coverage of every administration that preceded it. We approach this task without fear or favor and with one goal only – to ensure our audience is well-informed. Our eyes, ears and minds are wide open.”

You can read an analysis of the meeting and the history of the problems between Univision and Trump leading up to the election on Forbes.

A lot of anchors and reporters were very vocal during the election and now theybhave to shut up and delete all their social media posts. Wait for the memo tomorrow banning all political opinions against the orange twitler.
