July 20, 2017 by Veronica Villafañe

Marialcy Carreño, currently Executive Producer at Telemundo’s KSTS 48 in San Jose, is being promoted to assistant news director at sister station KXTX 39 in Dallas.

Her last day at the Bay Area station is August 25. She starts at Telemundo Dallas on September 4.

She replaces Alfredo Sánchez, who left the station to become news director at Telemundo Denver.

Carreño joined Telemundo in February of 2014. She previously spent four years as a news producer at Univision Fresno.
