Telemundo boasts primetime ratings victory over Univision

August 23, 2017 by Veronica Villafañe

Telemundo primetimeTelemundo’s primetime ratings streak appears to be back. The network scored its first ever 8 to 11 pm primetime ratings victory over Univision last year, but lost ground months later.

But now things are again looking up for Telemundo, which is celebrating its position as the #1 Spanish-language network during Monday through Friday from 8 to 11 pm for the fourth consecutive week among adults 18-49. It’s also #1 among adults 18-34 in primetime for the past six consecutive weeks, according to Nielsen.

“Jenni Rivera: Mariposa de Bario” at 8 pm, “Sin Senos Sí Hay Paraíso” at 9 pm and “El Señor de los Cielos” at 10 pm are driving Telemundo’s ratings charge, outperforming Univision’s most recent premieres this month among adults 18-49, including “Enamorándome de Ramón” on August 8 at 8 pm (736,000 vs 616,000), “La Tierra Prometida” on August 7 at 10 pm (1,301,000 vs 805,000) and “Mi Marido Tiene Familia” at 9 pm on August 21 (995,000 vs 719,000).
