Univision ousts Lourdes Stephen and Orlando Segura

January 18, 2018 by Veronica Villafañe

Lourdes Stephen - Orlando Segura
Lourdes Stephen and Orlando Segura were both ousted from Univision’s “Despierta América” the same week.

“Despierta América” has two less on-air personalities in its ranks. Lourdes Stephen and Orlando Segura are both out of a job as of this week.

Univision confirmed they are no longer with the company, but would not comment on the reasons for their exit.

Some reports state their contracts were not renewed.

Stephen had been with Univision for the past 15 years, most recently hosting a segment called “Sin Rollo” on the morning show.

Segura hosted entertainment segment “Código Segura.”

Stephen’s departure was effective Monday, January 15. Segura’s exit came a day later.

A Univision spokesperson would not say if they would be replaced, indicating that at this time they “don’t have any plans to share with regard to new talent.”

O no?
