Edgar Muñoz has left Los Angeles, where he has been Telemundo news correspondent since May 2016. He is now the network’s new Texas-based correspondent, covering immigration and border stories.
Muñoz, who was an anchor at KVEA 52 before moving to the network job, takes over for Víctor Hugo Rodríguez, who has left his spot in Texas.
Rodríguez, a Houston-based Telemundo correspondent since December 2016, replaces Muñoz in Los Angeles. This marks a return to California for Rodríguez, who previously spent a year as a reporter for KVEA 52 from 2012 to 2013.
Both men start their new roles today, Monday, March 5.
No explanation yet as to why Telemundo pulled the switch.
