Telemundo correspondents Muñoz and Rodríguez switch places

March 4, 2018 by Veronica Villafañe

Edgar Muñoz - Victor Hugo Rodriguez
Correspondents Edgar Muñoz and Víctor Hugo Rodríguez are switching places.

Edgar Muñoz has left Los Angeles, where he has been Telemundo news correspondent since May 2016. He is now the network’s new Texas-based correspondent, covering immigration and border stories.

Muñoz, who was an anchor at KVEA 52 before moving to the network job, takes over for Víctor Hugo Rodríguez, who has left his spot in Texas.

Rodríguez, a Houston-based Telemundo correspondent since December 2016, replaces Muñoz in Los Angeles. This marks a return to California for Rodríguez, who previously spent a year as a reporter for KVEA 52 from 2012 to 2013.

Both men start their new roles today, Monday, March 5.

No explanation yet as to why Telemundo pulled the switch.

“Muñoz, who was an anchor at KVEA 52 before moving to the network job.”

You make it sound like a promotion. Remember, he was laid off at KVEA and luckily was able to get the network job at Telemundo shortly after.

Both Journalist are true professionals. I celebrate their relocation and wish them the best.
So, what if Muñoz was laid off once during his career….? I’d rather focus on his list of accomplishments and the fact that he is trustworthy and fair.
