Telemundo Phoenix adds Guerra as weekday co-anchor

July 19, 2018 by Veronica Villafañe

KTAZ Telemundo Phoenix has hired Ana Guerra as a morning anchor.

She is currently doing morning cut-ins from 6 to 9 am and co-anchoring the station’s 11 am weekday newscasts alongside Paola Morales.

Guerra joined the station in late June and made her on-air debut on July 16.

She replaces Jimena González, who left the station.

Guerra previously worked at TV Azteca’s north east regional newscast “Info 7.” She spent five years there as an anchor and health issues reporter, based in Monterrey, Mexico.

Prior to starting a career in in local broadcasting, Guerra worked for the Office of the Secretary of Health for the State of Nuevo Leon in Mexico.
