Gonzalez hired at KPRC as social media producer

Longtime television reporter Sandra Gonzalez has joined the digital team at KPRC-TV in Houston as a social media producer.

In her new role, she writes news, edits video and posts news content on the station’s website and social media accounts.

Prior to taking on this job, she was a digital tools trainer as part of the Society of Professional Journalists’ Training Network.

Gonzalez previously spent four years at KSNV, the NBC affiliate in Las Vegas and another six in New Orleans, where she worked as a digital journalist at ABC affiliate WGNO-26 and a general assignment reporter at WVUE, Fox 8.

She also worked as a reporter at KGET in Bakersfield from 2002 to 2006.

Before launching her TV reporting career, she was a radio reporter and anchor from 1993 to 2001.
