Henríquez promoted at The New York Times

September 26, 2018 by Veronica Villafañe

Charo Henríquez has been promoted to Senior Editor of Digital Strategy at the New York Times.

In her new role, she’ll be working with other senior editors on the Digital Transition team to provide strategic support to desk heads, as well as newsroom leadership to build and strengthen the paper’s digital audience.

Henríquez joined the NYT in September 2017 as Senior Editor of Digital Storytelling and Training.

She previously spent a year as an independent digital media consultant doing training, coaching and mentorship programs for journalists.

Henríquez was Executive Digital Editor of People en Español from 2015 to 2016. Before that, she was the Innovation Editor at GFR Media, working on editorial innovation projects for El Nuevo Día and Primera Hora websites in Puerto Rico.

Charo, cuanto me alegro. Eres una chica extraordinaria. Te admiro y aprecio mucho. Fuiste una gran ayuda en mis esfuerzos cibernéticos en el CLP.
