Darling Burdiez

Telemundo 47 hires Darling Burdiez as an anchor and reporter

October 22, 2018 by Veronica Villafañe

Telemundo 47 is adding Darling Burdiez to its news team as an anchor and general assignment reporter.

She’ll start at the New York station in November.

Although a Telemundo 47 rep says her schedule is yet to be determined, a source indicates Burdiez will be co-anchoring weekday newscasts, filling the void left by Yaima Crespo’s departure in October 2017.

Burdiez is currently an anchor and reporter for Noticias SIN’s weekday program “Noticias y Mucho Más” in her native Dominican Republic. Her final day on the air at Color Visión Channel 9 is this Friday, October 26.

In addition to Color Visión, over the past two decades Burdiez has worked at Dominican TV stations Telecentro Channel 13, State Radio and Television Corporation (CERTV) Channel 4, Amé Channel 47 and Cadena de Noticias (CDN) Channel 37.

She also worked as an announcer and producer at several radio stations, including Radio ABC 105.7 FM, Super MIX 92.5 FM and 105.7 FM, and Emisora Fidelity 94.1 FM.
