Telemundo promotes Batlle-Alonso to VP of News

July 16, 2019 by Veronica Villafañe

Delinés Batlle-Alonso is moving up the management ranks at the Telemundo Station Group.

She’s leaving her current role as assistant news director at WNJU Telemundo 47 in New York to take over as VP of News at KVDA Telemundo San Antonio.

The move will be quick. Her last day at WNJU is this Friday, July 19. She starts her new role at KVDA on July 22.

She’ll be responsible for overseeing the station’s newsroom, including all multi-platform news operations and performance.

Batlle-Alonso has spent most of her career in New York. She joined WNJU as executive producer in 2014, getting promoted to assistant news director in 2017.

She was previously a news producer at Univision New York for over seven years. Before that, she worked as a reporter and producer at WNJU. She got her start in the news business at WAPA in Puerto Rico.
