Meteorologist Jorge Torres moves up to Phoenix market

Jorge Torres has jumped 35 markets to land at KNXV in Phoenix as weekend meteorologist.

His on-air debut at the ABC affiliate was last week.

Torres was most recently chief meteorologist at KOB in Albuquerque, where he worked for the past six years.

An AMS certified broadcast meteorologist, Torres got his start in the business at KVIA. He was weekday morning meteorologist from 2009 to 2013.

    Jorge, you are missed here in Albuquerque, you were one of our best…sorry to see you go ,but I totally understand your move if it was for your family and there safety. Albuquerque is a rough place right now… fortunately for me I’m stuck here love it to much to leave.. good luck. You are missed.
