After a four-year run as a reporter at Telemundo New York, Luis Gerardo Núñez is leaving the station. His last day is February 28.
Núñez is moving to KTMD Telemundo Houston to co-anchor the station’s 4 and 4:30 pm weekday newscasts, alongside co-anchor Ingrid Barrera.
His first day at the Telemundo Houston will be Monday, March 9.
The move marks his return to Texas.
Prior to joining WNJU, Núñez worked at KXTX Telemundo 39 in Dallas from 2014 to 2016.
A native of Venezuela, Núñez began his career as a reporter for 24-hour news network Globovisión.
