Nuñez leaves WNJU for move to Telemundo Houston’s anchor desk

February 19, 2020 by Veronica Villafañe

After a four-year run as a reporter at Telemundo New York, Luis Gerardo Núñez is leaving the station. His last day is February 28.

Núñez is moving to KTMD Telemundo Houston to co-anchor the station’s 4 and 4:30 pm weekday newscasts, alongside co-anchor Ingrid Barrera.

His first day at the Telemundo Houston will be Monday, March 9.

The move marks his return to Texas.

Prior to joining WNJU, Núñez worked at KXTX Telemundo 39 in Dallas from 2014 to 2016.

A native of Venezuela, Núñez began his career as a reporter for 24-hour news network Globovisión.

It was just meant to happen after his Boss’ demise. Once you pick sides and you milk it as well, sometimes the math does not add up.
As for the “family” issues given, that’s another reason as for why Latino Media will never compete into no mainstream management. We keep on been treated as toothless ignorant fools.
Hoping the best for him in a station that has been dealing with a lot of problems itself.

Terrible hispanic media management!!!

Yess. You go!. Congratulations Luis Gerardo. I love how you give the news, to the point, interactive, firm, consistent, educated.
